At Sky Builders, we do our best to follow the green remodeling guidelines and the green new construction guidelines set forth by Build It Green.

We thoroughly insulate all floors, walls, and ceilings to make highly efficient tight buildings that will cost less to heat or cool over the life of the building.

We are using advanced framing techniques in order to reduce the use of lumber and to allow for better insulating.  We do our best to reuse lumber, reduce the waste of lumber, and recycle the minimal waste we do create during construction.

We work with our clients to design systems that fit their current budget while also considering future energy costs of running the building over time .

We work with our clients to design spaces that have good flow and use of space for the way they live and work, making the new area efficient and healthy for their lifestyle.

Solar is excellent!  We work with several solar contractors to get our clients set up with both solar hot water systems and photovoltaic solar power systems to utilize the natural power of the sun more than the nonrenewable resources more widely used in our society.

Our CEO is currently working on earning his Master of Business Administration in Sustainability through San Francisco Institute of Architecture to continue to operate Sky Builders Inc in the most sustainable and efficient way.  In doing this we are striving to be around for a long time so that we can continue to service the buildings we work on and continue to improve our processes with new projects in the future.
